The Kidde 30CUD10-CA is a sealed, battery-operated smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarm to protect from fire and CO. The alarm features photoelectric and electrochemical sensing technology with a Smart Hush™ feature.

The 10-year, tamper-proof lithium battery eliminates the need for battery replacement over the life of the alarm. The unit automatically activates once it is attached to the mounting bracket.

At the end of the alarm life, the unit will chirp, indicating that it is in need of replacement. The customer can use a simple tool such as a screwdriver to deactivate the unit, stopping the chirp and making it safe for disposal.

Product Details

  • The sealed-in lithium battery eliminates the need to replace the battery over the 10-year life of the alarm.
  • The alarm automatically activates when attached to the mounting bracket.
  • Alarm memory: Alerts if smoke or CO has been detected in the last 24 hours. If smoke has been detected, the red LED blinks every 15 sec. If CO has been detected, the red LED blinks twice every 15 sec.
  • The test/Hush button tests alarm circuitry and activates Hush features.
  • Smart Hush™ temporarily silences nuisance alarms for approximately 10 minutes and will not allow hush mode unless the unit is in alarm mode.
  • A red LED will blink in conjunction with the alarm sound.
  • The end-of-life warning alarm chirps every 30 seconds to indicate the unit is in need of replacement. The indication can be silenced three days at a time for up to 30 days to allow for alarm replacement at a more convenient time.
  • The advanced photoelectric sensor may detect visible particles associated with smouldering fires sooner than ionization alarms. Industry experts recommend installing both ionization and photoelectric smoke alarms to help ensure maximum detection of the various types of fires that can occur within the home.*
